Cultural Exchange Itinerary for the 3rd Australian International Martial Arts Festival
I. Itinerary Overview
May 7 (Thursday): Departure from China (dinner and overnight on the plane)
May 8 (Friday): Arrival in Melbourne, pick-up and drop-off, hotel check-in, registration (early arrival athletes can visit Box Hill Shopping Centre and duty-free shops)
May 9 (Saturday): Martial Arts Festival Opening Ceremony and Competition: Venue: Aqualink Box Hill, 31 Surrey Drive, Box Hill
May 10 (Sunday): Closing Ceremony and Cultural Performance: The Round Theatre, 379–399 Whitehorse Road, Nunawading
May 11 (Monday): Beautiful Melbourne sightseeing / or classic Great Ocean Road day trip (choose one)
May 12 (Tuesday): Transfer to airport for departure or optional extended itinerary
II. Price Standard
1. All-inclusive package (airfare, visa, accommodation, meals, and transportation) for Chinese tour group: ¥12,800 (Price may increase by 20% after the end of March)
2. All-inclusive package (3 nights/4 days) for Melbourne: ¥1,620
III. Price Includes:
• 4 days/3 nights accommodation and meals in Melbourne (4-star hotel or equivalent)
• Can be extended to 5 days/4 nights accommodation and meals if budget accommodation is chosen
• Airport transfers and local transportation services
• Unified meal arrangements during the competition and closing ceremony
• Melbourne city sightseeing/or classic Great Ocean Road day trip
• Guide and driver gratuities
• Admission fee for athletes’ performance at the closing ceremony
• Visa and airfare
IV. The price excludes:
• Excess baggage fee
• Travel insurance and personal expenses
• Optional tours or extended stays (see attachment: Introduction to Classic Australian Itineraries for details)
• Individual and team registration fees and individual event fees (see attachment: Rules of the 3rd Australian International Wushu Festival for details)
V. Airfare, Visa, and Insurance Information
All-inclusive (airfare, visa, accommodation, and transportation): 12,800 RMB/person (estimated before the end of March 2026)
Actual price varies depending on individual booking time and channels. It is recommended that participants handle visa applications and book airfares within China themselves:
• Participation travel insurance is mandatory.
VI. Accommodation and Room Type
• Four-star or equivalent hotel, including daily breakfast.
• Standard room (2 people per room) is the basic price.
• Single rooms or extra beds require advance application and will incur an additional charge.
• If the hotel is fully booked, equivalent or upgraded accommodation will be arranged.
VII. Itinerary and Transfers
• Melbourne airport transfers are at a fixed time; separate quotes apply for individual transfers.
• Day tours are complimentary; the organizer reserves the right to adjust them in case of force majeure (weather, traffic, temporary closures, etc.).
• Chinese-speaking guide and full-time escort service provided.
VIII. Payment and Confirmation
1. A deposit of 2800 RMB is required upon registration confirmation. A 200 RMB review service fee will be refunded if the information is inconsistent, and the remaining 2600 RMB deposit will be refunded. The remaining 10000 RMB is due upon visa approval.
2. Hotel and booking slots are confirmed in the order of payment.
3. Passport validity must be at least 6 months, and applicants must apply for their own Australian visa.
IX. Cancellation, Refunds, and Special Circumstances
1. Once the itinerary and hotel are confirmed, fees are non-refundable.
2. If the trip is cancelled due to personal reasons, incurred fees will not be refunded.
3. In the event of flight cancellations, natural disasters, pandemics, or other force majeure events, the organizer will assist in processing refunds but will not be liable for additional compensation.
10. Remarks
• The final price is calculated in Australian Dollars (AUD). The organizer reserves the right to final interpretation in case of exchange rate or supplier adjustments.
