6th Term: Intensive Training Camp for the World Online Video Competition

Tai Chi masters from various schools across Melbourne, along with both new and returning students, gathered together—undeterred by distance, strong winds, and heavy rain—to participate in the intensive training at the Doncaster Athletics Track, fully committed to the demanding training camp.

Many people drove dozens of kilometers to attend the training.

Melbourne’s weather is like a child’s face—it can change three times in a single day. The wind blew, the rain poured, the sun scorched—but our students braved the cold winds and freezing temperatures. Even when it rained, they continued their training in raincoats.

Trainee Yang Qin was deeply moved by the sight of over forty fellow students standing under a park shelter in the rain, still practicing Tai Chi in their rain gear. Touched by this spirit, she introduced us to President Chen of the Fuzhou Fellowship Association, who generously provided a large indoor venue in Melbourne CBD to shield the elderly, weak, sick, and disabled from the elements as the countdown to the International Online Video Competition reached its final day.

Despite the scorching summer heat, the students pressed on with unwavering commitment to their training.

At last, out of more than 5,000 entries in the 4th World Tai Chi Online Video Competition, they clinched first place and won the championship title!
