On 14 July , 2022, at 9.30 in the morning, the AWCC Tai Chi Henan Association Branch in Australia welcomed Kingston Mayor Steve Staikos: One of the things I love most about Kingston is: our multicultural community. Bringing people from all over the world together to share their cultures and traditions.
Groups like yours allow our communities to celebrate and keep their cultures alive.
Your Tai Chi activity is a good example.
The group promotes healthy, active lifestyles while also providing a place for friendship and connection.
I am delighted to be invited here today and have the opportunity to learn new skills in this ancient art.
Master. Wendy, Chairman of the AWCC Tai Chi : In the past two or three years, the world has experienced the most serious new crown virus infection. Our AWCC Tai Chi, a special team, is in the special period of anti-virus, in the 7th World Tai Chi Online Video Competition in 2021 Won 43 first prizes, 47 second prizes and 52 third prizes in individual competitions.
Especially our collective competition program: Health Qigong Baduanjin and Wudang Taiyi Fuchen, both participated by the mayor, both stood out in the 7th Taijiquan Online Video Competition and won the first prize with double gold and tied for the first prize. It caused a huge shock in the field of Tai Chi all over the world.
AWCC Tai Chi Henan Association Branch Principal Fu Gao Gao: I am very proud that Tai Chi originated in my hometown. Inheriting and carrying forward the Tai Chi movement of the world’s intangible cultural heritage, improving the health quality of residents, preventing diseases, and reducing the medical pressure of the Australian government are our Henan Man’s due diligence. I am very happy to continue to contribute my own light and heat to the popularization of Tai Chi.
Why such great success in such difficult times? Because of the strong support of local governments at all levels, there are so many volunteers who are eager to serve everyone, because Chinese Tai Chi is very conducive to residents’ fitness and exercise, and is very conducive to reducing the pressure on the state and medical institutions
As the birthplace of the world’s intangible cultural heritage Tai Chi, the Henan Fellowship Association is committed to promoting the world, which is a very gratifying good thing!
The [Essential Eighteen Forms] of the improvement class reported the learning results to the mayor for the first time
John Nation Student ID-5192:
In 2018, LING and I joined Wendy’s Tai Chi training at Doncaster Sports Club, Wendy and her Tai Chi classes opened up a whole new world for me, I found Tai Chi to be fun, although it was a bit challenging to remember the sequence of movements , especially the tai chi fan and more recently the tai chi sword.
Alison Rennick–Student ID-5191: In 2018, I was fortunate enough to join Wendy’s Chen Style Tai Chi class, who are dedicated to promoting the health benefits and beauty of this ancient Chinese form of martial arts. It was with Wendy’s drive, discipline and enthusiasm that I performed and worked with many local and international guests at the two Melbourne International Martial Arts Festivals in 2018 and 2019, which were memorable and amazing experience! Thank you Wendy, for motivating me to keep working hard!
Michael Lehmann: Retired Police Student Number-1416: I’ve always been looking for a way to decompress my life. Then I found out that practicing Tai Chi allows me to concentrate and exercise to the maximum extent. I noticed that Tai Chi training uses a lot of TCM principles. My current understanding of Chinese culture is far from enough. I am very grateful that Mr. Wendy explained to us in English as much as possible. I am very fortunate that I live in a multicultural country. All in all, I am very grateful to Master Wendy for leading us on this journey of self-discovery.
