1: AWCC TaiChi founder
Wendy Jiang is Director of the Australian Wu Shu Arts & Culture Development Company (AWCC) and President of the Australian Eastern Wu Tai Chi Alliance. A 7th Duan Chen-style Tai Chi practitioner and certified International Senior Coach, she is a 13th-generation lineage holder, studying under Zhang Dongwu, a direct disciple of Chen Zhenglei (a representative inheritor of the world’s intangible cultural heritage).
In March 2018, she gained international recognition at the 16th World Wushu Championships in Hong Kong, winning five gold medals and the All-Around Champion title. At 70 years old, Wendy represented Australia at the 11th Jiaozuo International Tai Chi Tournament in China (September 2023), winning gold in Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword across the CDE age groups. In October 2024, she won two gold medals (Tai Chi and Tai Chi Sword) at the 15th Handan International Tai Chi Tournament in China.
Recognized for her contributions to promoting Tai Chi, Wendy has received awards from Australian Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ingrid Stitt (2024), Federal MP Keith Wolahan (2022), and Victorian MP Paul Hamer (2019). She was also awarded the “Starlight Award” by the World Tai Chi Web and the President of the Chinese Wushu Association for her outstanding contributions to promoting Tai Chi culture globally
2: The purpose of the AWCC TaiChi
AWCC provides martial arts and Tai Chi training in kindergartens, aged care facilities, and schools, reaching up to 4,000 people . Since March 2018, AWCC has conducted 48 free public classes in various locations (Glen Waverley, Box Hill, Doncaster, Kew, Berwick, Burwood East, and the City), offering Chinese Wudang Kung Fu and Tai Chi, along with advanced courses, training camps, and specialized workshops with a progressive curriculum.
During the 2020-2021 pandemic, AWCC’s international livestream platform offered bilingual (Chinese and English) “Tai Chi at Home” online courses, benefiting over 100,000 community members. This 48-week program, broadcast on Chinese and English platforms, was highly valued by those affected by lockdowns, depression, and weakened immunity.
Post-pandemic, AWCC was invited by the government to conduct outdoor “Sunshine Recovery” programs for residents hesitant to leave their homes. AWCC members have consistently won awards in the World Tai Chi Network video competition. Since 2024, AWCC has incorporated Wudang and Shaolin Kung Fu resources to offer youth martial arts classes, bringing the benefits of Chinese Kung Fu to all age groups in Australia.
on September 2023,CCTV 4 International Channel vividly tells the story of Chinese people for 30 minutes: Tai Chi flowers bloom in Australia, reporting how Wendy Jiang Hui has persisted in promoting and inheriting the world’s intangible cultural heritage of Chinese Tai Chi for seven years, which has caused a huge response in the Tai Chi community around the world. 3: Strong support and awards from local, state and federal governments
The Mannighham 2022 new Mayor Michelle Kleinertthank all the volunteers, saying:
if we have more people learn Tai Chi in Manningham , or my God, We’ll live longer, we’ll live healthier.I thank you for what you did for the community. I know that is a lot of work, But I’d love to see people doing Tai Chi somewhere in Manningham every day. I want my dad to come because it’s good for health.

27.06.2021AWCC Tai Chi Family Reunion Day: Andrew Conlon of Manniham After the mayor finished the exercise he said excitedly: I have never participated in Tai Chi exercise before, and today I deeply realize that Tai Chi is very suitable for the elderly to exercise.
this organization is run entirely by a group of volunteers who don’t get paid a penny, bringing health and well-being to the community and reducing the burden on the country and hospitals.

5: Outstanding Merit
1. On October 30, 2018, we will exclusively host Australia’s first International Martial Arts Festival. This is the first mass sport of the largest international martial arts competition in Australia’s history. There are more than 500 contestants from all over the world and local teams and individuals.
2. On November 1, 2018, the closing ceremony of Australia’s first International Wushu Festival was successfully closed. The first Wushu Festival’s exclusive sponsor CBD chairman Chen Guojing and event schedule sponsor Zhonghengsihai Travel Agency.
